Baby Knowledge You Might Not Yet Have
Watching kids develop can fascinate you. Learning about the way a baby goes from his infancy to manhood will astound you. The fact is that there is a lot more to a baby that initially meets the eye. Sure babies are cute, but they are incredibly complicated creatures. They have their own sets of wants and needs that must be met to ensure that they develop properly. You probably have no idea how complex being a baby can be. The more you understand about child development the better parent you will be!
Did you know that babies are born with three hundred bones in their bodies? When a person becomes an adult there are only two hundred and six bones in his or her body. This makes it sound like the bones disappear but the truth is that many of the bones that are separate at birth fuse together into larger bones as children grow up. Many believe that this is one of the main reasons that a baby is so much more flexible physically as an adult-because the bones are able to move independently of one another in infancy. When you see how easily babies can move and compare it to your own physical limitations this might be a plausible theory for you. Most people already accept that babies are able to hear sounds even before they are born. Many sounds cause babies to have strong reactions-reactions that have been recorded before the baby is born. Did you know, though, that decibel levels are just as important while the baby is in the womb as it is once the baby is born? A fetus’s ears are impressionable and sensitive. Doctors recommend that, while women are pregnant that they keep their music, televisions, etc below the level of a modern vacuum cleaner. Vacuum cleaners usually push the limit of the baby’s comfort level with noise, so it is a good idea to keep the music down and to avoid things like heavy construction and loud traffic.
Consuming non mercury fish is incredibly healthy for you, but double check the type of fish you want to eat because doctors everywhere agree that you want to avoid mercury consumption while you are pregnant. Many doctors recommend eating salmon regularly because it does not contain mercury the way other fish do and because it contains all sorts of healthy things that a mother needs for her growing fetus. There are those who say that a woman who eats fish regularly during her pregnancy will give birth to babies with better developed brains and a better capacity for communication than babies carried by women who did not eat fish regularly during their pregnancies. If you do not eat or particularly like fish, don’t worry-none of this has been scientifically proven as fact yet. Many people are fascinated by babies. Nobody really knows exactly how they learn or how quickly they learn it. The one thing everyone can agree on is just how quickly babies change and how amazing it is to watch them grow up.
